About

Following his polite ejection from the SAS at the end of a decade-long military career, Captain Sebastian Moran is at loose ends. Between cheating at cards and freelance jobs as a security consultant, he’s just barely managing to keep busy — but when a routine penetration test goes awry, Moran is thrown into the path of a brilliant, short-tempered hacker named Jay Moriarty.

Up until now, Moriarty has worked alone. But Moran is clever, unpredictable, and unlike anyone Moriarty has ever met, and the attraction between them quickly escalates into an intense, confusing relationship. Moran is dangerous, a living weapon … but one that has placed himself willingly in Moriarty’s hands.

The Casefile of Jay Moriarty is a modern-day take on Sherlock Holmes’ nemesis and all the crimes he commits with his partner, Sebastian Moran. It’s part con and heist thriller, part queer romance; if that sounds like your kind of thing, you can read the first story in the Casefile for free:

You can also buy the series in ebook form from your retailer of choice:

Like the original Sherlock Holmes canon, The Casefile of Jay Moriarty is a collection of shortform stories — usually 10,000 to 20,000 words long, although some are longer or shorter. New stories are published periodically (basically, once they’re finished) and serialized chapter-by-chapter each week following the initial ebook release.

Some of the stories on this site can be read for free, but others require a paid subscription.
